Christmas Eve Services 2018 (2)

Christmas Eve Services 2018

  • This services features an active way of retelling and entering into the Christmas story that will engage children of all ages. Carols and candles help the story touch our hearts and leave you ready to return to your home in time for supper.

  • This service is also geared to families of all configurations and will feature a drama that reminds us of the Star and its role in helping us understand the deeper meaning to the Christmas story. Lots of carol singing, and the lighting of candles whilst singing Silent Night bring a gentleness and magic ending to Christmas Eve.

  • A gentle service of reflection with a smooth jazz feel brings Christmas Eve celebrations to an end. Through singing, readings, reflections and the sharing of communion, this service seeks to deepen our understanding of the Christmas story and bring a sense of mystery into being.

Open Doors...Open Hearts...Open Minds

That’s what we do here on a daily basis. So come exactly as you are. Regardless of your age, religious background, racial heritage, sexual orientation, or gender identity, we aim to make sure you feel welcome.  No dress requirements and while we rely on donations to run our programs, money is never a barrier to your participation in the life of our community. Sunday services start at 10am and the coffee is ready by 9:30am. Grab a cup of coffee and come into our “living room”! Let your children play, dance, and sing- they have so much to teach all of us! In fact, we’ve created some special places for them to explore their own spiritual paths, in developmentally appropriate ways. Check out the Konnect 4 button below to learn more about Tots Konnect, PK’S Konnect, Kids Konnect,  and Youth Konnect!

But life in our church community is about more than what happens on Sunday: check out the many services, programs, and activities offered, mostly free of charge, throughout the week and year to anyone interested.

Something for EVERYONE at CBUC!

CBUC is located on unceded Coast Salish territory specifically of the Lekwungen people
